It is very important to take care of our skin all year round especially during the harsh cold months so for today’s beauty post I’m sharing facial masks that you guys should try out. The best part about these masks is that they are diy which is what I love because you do not need to spend a lot of money on beauty products to take care of your skin. If you are interested in the best diy masks that treat oily skin, acne, blackheads, sensitive skin, and so much more then keep reading for all the deets.

5 diy facial masks for every skin type

FOR OILY SKIN: BAKING SODA AND CIDER MASK

Ingredients:

  • 2 rounded tablespoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Directions:

  1. Mix together until combination begins to bubble.
  2. Apply to the face only.
  3. Leave on for about 3 minutes, or until dry.
  4. Remove with tepid washcloth.
  5. Follow with a gel-based moisturizer applied to the face and throat and lip cream.

FOR DRY SKIN: AVOCADO AND BANANA MASK

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Directions:

  1. Smash ingredients together in one bowl and apply to face around eyes and lips with clean hands.
  2. Let it remain on skin and throat for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove with warm water and washcloth.
  4. Follow with a rich moisturizer applied to the face and throat, and eye and lip cream.

FOR HYPERPIGMENTATION: SPICE AND LEMON MASK

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 2 rounded tablespoons Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Directions:

  1. Blend together.
  2. Apply to skin leaving on for 15 minutes.
  3. Remove with tepid water and warm washcloth.
  4. Follow with a moisturizer containing sunblock.

FOR COMBINATION SKIN: PUMPKIN AND HONEY MASK

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup fresh pumpkin
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Directions:

  1. Blend ingredients in a bowl or blender.
  2. Apply to face with clean hands avoiding eyes and lips.
  3. Let it remain on skin for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove with tepid water and washcloth.
  5. Follow with a light moisturizer applied to the face.

FOR ACNE-PRONE SKIN: STRAWBERRY INFUSED MASK

Ingredients:

  • 6 ripe strawberries
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Directions:

  1. Mash up strawberries and blend in honey and baking soda.
  2. Apply to face with clean hands avoiding eyes and lips.
  3. Let it remain for 15 minutes.
  4. To remove apply tepid washcloth to skin.
  5. Follow with a moisturizer for acne-prone skin.
